The focus of my recent FLLinNZ project was to look at best practice in educational design - models, evaluation, support, professional development and organisational issues.
What did I find?? Well, there are lots of interpretations of what educational design practice actually IS, but the remarkable thing for me, was the continuous repositioning of my project to look at the basics: quality teaching and learning. While educational design practice is founded in Instructional Design processes, I was reminded that the main focus of our practice is 'how can we create a high quality experience for the learner?"
While many people and ideas influenced the direction of my project, some common themes emerged. |
