  • E-Capability development with staff from NMIT in conjunction with the TEC funded ITPNZ e-Capability Project
  • The development of an online support network for learning designers - LDNet -http://akoaotearoa.ac.nz/communities/ldnet
  • 'Distance and Flexible Education (DFE) '. Tertiary Education Commission project to assess the elearning capability of the NZ Polytechnic sector using the eLearning Maturity Model (eMM) tool. (Team member).
  • 'eLearning Guidelines for Tertiary Education'. Ministry of Education project to synthesise and disseminate the findings of government funded research on elearning for key stakeholders. (Consortium member).
  • Workshops for secondary school teachers upgrading qualifications through  the NZ Diploma in Specialist Subjects (CAPL Centre for Assessmentof Prior Learning, CPIT)
  • Scoping initial teacher education approaches in Education for Enterprise (E4E) and recommendations for future pilot (NZ Trade and Enterprise - Core-Ed)
 
Learning from my FLLinNZ project: Lyn Williams
The focus of my recent FLLinNZ project  was to look at best practice in educational design -
models, evaluation, support, professional development and organisational issues.


What did I find?? Well, there are lots of interpretations of what educational design practice actually IS, but the remarkable thing for me, was the continuous repositioning of my project to look at the basics: quality teaching and learning. While educational design practice is founded in Instructional Design processes, I was reminded that the main focus of our practice is 'how can we create a high quality experience for the learner?"

While many people and ideas influenced the direction of my project, some common themes  emerged.
